About BikeSherpa and Robert Reimann
BikeSherpa was founded by Robert Reimann, a New Yorker with strong European roots. Rob loves cycling & travel and discovered long ago there's no better way to immerse yourself in another culture than on the bike.
Rob took bike tours because he liked leaving the planning to experts and loved meeting new people to share the travel experience with.
But many guided tours were too structured, there was too much 'guiding' and he lost the contact with the place he was visiting, it felt like he was traveling in a bubble. European-style "self supported" tours gave him the services he wanted and made him feel more like a traveler than a tourist and let him get closer to the land and people.
So Rob created BikeSherpa to combine the fun of traveling with a cool group of people, with top-notch services and the freedom to make the vacation your own unique experience.
He now spends much of the year in Europe researching the best tour operators to work with and helping design top-notch products out of his base in Dresden, Germany. For the rest of the year he's located in New York City or is somewhere around the world on his bike.
Anna Graefe runs the European side of BikeSherpa. She makes sure all the tours are ideally designed and that the customer experience is as seamless as can be.
Anna is an avid cyclist, cross country skier and mountain climber. She's born and bred in Dresden and knows most of Europe's great cycling routes and mountain peaks.
