About your bike tour
Pristine cross country skiing holiday in the heart of the Dolomites Mountains in northern Italy.
Ski along a huge network of groomed trails connecting Alpine mountain valleys. Visit the Nordic ski arena, site of the 2011 Nordic Ski World Cup. Sip schnapps & relax in mountain huts along the way. Begin skiing each day from the doorstep of your hotels, all situated in beautiful northern Italian mountain settings.
Highlights include: the Sexten Dolomite mountains; the cross country centre in Toblach, stronghold of the Italian cross country skiing; Lake Toblach; a network of groomed trails along the former railway track of the Dolomites train line; the Höhlenstein Valley at the foot of the “Drei Zinnen” (Three Peaks); Lake “Prags Wildsee”, another breathtaking scenic backdrop of immense natural magnificence to be found in this area; the mountain pastures of Platzwiese with the glorious panorama displaying the surrounding mountain summits.
The route has been chosen so that both beginners and experienced skiers can enjoy the excellently planned course. There is a multitude of possibilities which you will be informed about at the initial briefing.

— Day 1: Sexten (Trentino-Alto Adige)
Arrive at your hotel in Sexten, Italy. Explore Sexten, a famous summer & winter sports resort in the German-speaking portion of Italian Alps.
15 km Day 2: Sexten (Trentino-Alto Adige)
First day of skiing along the panorama course from Sexten to Nemesalm in the beautiful Sexten Dolomites mountains.
Take a break in one of the mountain huts along the way. Sip homemade Schnapps, while the landlord plays his accordion.
Later In the afternoon follow the course up to the Kreuzberg Pass before returning back to Sexten (approx.4 hours skiing)
Spend the evening relaxing back in Sexten.
18 km Day 3: Toblach (Trentino-Alto Adige)
A stunning day of nordic skiing in the Sexten Dolomites.
Set off directly from the hotel, enjoy the classic Dolomite peaks, including the Zwölferkofel the Dreischusterspitze. Riding along the groomed cross country track, you will proceed through the Fischlein Valley.
Enjoy a cappuccino in the mountain hut at the highest point before you start downhill through the woods back to Sexten.
From here, it's on through the forests to Innichen/San Candido, the cultural center of Pusteria Valley. At the Haunold Mountain, the track heads westwards through the wide Pusteria Valley. After a few kilometres, Toblach is in sight as well as the world famous cross country ski centre synonymous with the valley (approx. 4 hours).
Relax for the evening in Toblach, a wonderful town surrounded by mountain peaks.
30 km Day 4: Toblach (Trentino-Alto Adige)
You start from the "Nordic Arena", home of the 2011 Nordic Worldcup in Toblach/Dobbiaco.
You follow the groomed tracks of the old railway line through the Höhlenstein Valley. You can decide whether you want to stop for coffee and strudel at Lake Toblach or continue onto the view of the “Drei Zinnen”, the stunning three peaks that define the Dolomites landscape.(approx. 4-5 hours)
Back to Toblach for the evening.
20 km Day 5: Braies - Prags (Trentino-Alto Adige)
After relaxing in Toblach for breakfast, today's ski trails head from the Pusteria Valley into the Prags Valley and onto Braies, a lovely town surrounded by woods, lakes and mountains. (approx. 5 hours)
Overnight in Braies.
15 km Day 6: Braies - Prags (Trentino-Alto Adige)
Today's skiing is dedicated to the exploration of the Plätzwiese, where you can ski under the breathtaking Hohe Gaisl before tasting Tyrolean and Italian specialities which are prepared in the different mountain huts.(approx. 1 hour)
Overnight in Braies.
— Day 7: Braies - Prags (Trentino-Alto Adige)
Our trip ends after breakfast. Consider taking a few days extra in Bolzano. Free transfer is provided from Prags/Plätzwiese to the hotel in Sexten.

Low cost flights are available to “Sant’ Angelo - Antonio Canova” airport in Treviso and to the Marco Polo airport in Venice.
Upon a request, we even organize transfers from the airport to the starting point of the ski tour.
