The 5 complete itineraries, based in our brand new ****cycling hotel in Torroella de Montgrí, offer guests exclusive scenic routes, excellent accommodation and high-quality food. Every day of this week you discover a different thematic area of this wonderful region, extremely prepared for cycling.
Cycleroute of one week with daily departures by bike from the same hotel in the Empordà plain. You visit the most interesting areas of the region: a large number of medieval villages as well as castles, monasteries and Romanesque churches. Also very interesting are the remains of the old Greek and Roman cities, the most visited archaeological site in Catalonia. You cross beautiful landscapes of the coast and the interior. Every day’s itinerary covers a different area and emphasizes a special theme.

— Day 1: Girona (Catalonia)
Clients arrive in the historic city of Girona before starting to ride. Don’t pass up the chance to explore the remarkable streets of Girona’s old neighbourhoods. Not to be missed is a trip to the Gothic Cathedral of Girona, dating back to the late 13th century; and, if time permits, the city’s cathedral and its many museums. We also recommend a stroll along the Ramblas and the Jewish quarter.
160 km / alternative route: 140 km Day 2: Girona (Catalonia)
This route begins and ends at the Molí del Mig Hotel and extends north into the area known as Alt Empordà visiting the area of L´Albera famous for its production of wine and olive oil, the route passes through both ancient olive groves and vineyards. Climbing to the village of Terrades (260m) with its stunning views of the Serra d´en Clotes.

135 km Day 3: Girona (Catalonia)
The route runs north from Torroella de Montgrí visiting the medieval villages of L´Escala and Castelló d’Empúries. After which the route visits the Cap de Creus, where a visit to the important historic 10th century monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes at 532 m is recommended, the route then passes the old fishing villages of El Port de la Selva and Cadaqués the former home of Salvador Dali. Then the route passes over the peak ´Santa Helena´ on route to Sant Pere Pescador, a beautiful medieval village.
Today’s route level: Difficult - Peaks: Santa Helena (505m), Coll de Perafita (260m).
100 km Day 4: Girona (Catalonia)
Day 4 takes riders south into the coastal region of the Costa Brava passing the historic villages of Pals, Palafrugell, Palamos and Sant Feliu de Guixols. After which the route turns inland and climbs the Baga d´en Gussinyer and enters the Las Gavarres Mountains passing Sant Grau d´Ardenya (400m) and Montagut (505m) with its historic castle. Then after visiting the town of Llagostera the route crosses the Gavarres via the beautiful village of Romanyá de la Selva until reaching the town of Bisbal d’Empordà famous for its production of ceramics on route to the hotel.
Today’s route level: Difficult. - Peaks: Coll de Ganga (200m), Montagut (505m).
88 km Day 5: Girona (Catalonia)
This route takes riders to the medieval villages of Rupià and Madremanya before visiting the Sanctuary of Els Angels. Using tested training routes used by many pro-teams for training and for local races the route crosses the Gavarres Mountains first climbing Els Angels 484m and then returning via Puig d´en Carreres 403m. Then returning to the hotel via La Bisbal the principle town of the region.
Today’s route level: Moderate - Peaks: Els Angels (484m), Puig dén Carreres (403m)
80 km Day 6: Girona (Catalonia)
This route takes riders again to the medieval villages of Rupià and Madremanya like the 5.day

Final day of the tour. Optional van transfer to Girona or Barcelone.
